I recently got rid of my zoom lenses and greatly underestimated how hard shooting live theater would be with only a couple of primes. Thankfully, I had the Fuji X100s and got this gem during a dance show. It camera performs like a champ at ISO 3200 and the lighting design by Karin Olson wasn't too shabby either.
Took some pics at the Fringe lottery last night. I tried using a 580EX on a stand with a Pocket Wizard, but the house lights were left up and I didn't need it most of the time, though I do like the mixing of color temperatures once in awhile. Next time I'll place the flash closer the the back of the audience
A few alternate images were posted in a slideshow on the Minnesota Fringe site.
