My uncle called with a question about how to clean some old slides that are heavily coated in nicotine from being stored in the house of a smoker. Thanks to some tips from Black and White Digital Studios in Minneapolis, I got the answer.
1) Carefully split the slide cardboard in half at the top and peel it apart. The cardboard is just glued together and the film should justbe sitting in there.
3) Hang to dry with smooth plastic clips or something similar that will not damage the film.
4) Gently wipe clean if needed with Pek Pads
5) Mount the film in new plastic slide cases
There you have it!
